5 first-year management trainees from Nirma Institute of Management, during their first semester placement in 2003 helped us develop awareness materials for parents and doctor. They also assisted in conducting an assessment camp and holding an on campus exhibit of Setu's activities.
  3 teacher trainees from Eklavya Institute for Teachers’ Education worked on designing display spaces and working on classroom arrangement during February and March, 2005.
  12 first-year management trainees from Nirma Institute of Management, helped us in planning and executing awareness raising activities on the World Disability Day on December 3, 2005. They also worked on organizing a rally with school children.
Ms. Poornima Devanahalli, from School of Social Work, St. Louis University, USA spent nearly 3 months with the organization from August 2005 to develop the questionnaire on the impact of early intervention and field test it within the parent group of children attending the early intervention unit.
Mr. Rishi Doshi, School of Medicine, University of California, San Diego, USA spent 6 months in 2005 working on developing a culture specific screening tool for pre-school children with Autism and field testing it an urban setup. He worked with various organizations across India and interacted intensively with us during his time in India.
  12 first-year management trainees from Nirma Institute of Management, helped us in planning and executing awareness raising activities on the World Disability Day on December 3, 2006. They also worked on developing human resource training modules.
Ms. Abha Mistry, from the Columbia University in New York completed a masters in International Education Development, with a particular focus on special education: curriculum and teaching. At the time of her intership, she planned to write a research project on the topic of education of children with disabilities, including children who are raised in poverty who may not have access to related services. Abha was with us from June 2006 for three months. She remains in touch.
Ms. Tabita Kurien, National Institute of Design (NID) , Ahmedbad, spent 3 months in 2006 working on developing a sensory integration learning kit, she fondly named " Tink Tank" for the children in the centre as part of her graduate study internship.
  Ms. Bhumi Patel and Ms. Hirva Shah, first year students of undergraduate programme in Occupational Therapy from Ahmedabad Institute of Medical Sciences attended their internship at Setu from November 2007 to February 2008.
  Ms. Khushbu Bhatt, Ms. Palak Bhatt, and Ms. Pooja Mistry, students of S. M. Patel College of Home science, Vidyanagar spent the month of February 2008 to learn about the process of identifying needs, planning and executing suitable programmes in organizations working in early childhood development and education.
  Ms. Priyanka Acharya and Ms. Vidya Puri, first year students of undergraduate programme in Occupational Therapy from Ahmedabad Institute of Medical Sciences attended their internship at Setu during the month of March 2008.
  Ms. Hiral and Ms. Kosha, first year students of undergraduate programme in Occupational Therapy from Ahmedabad Institute of Medical Sciences attended their internship at Setu from May and June 2008
  Ms. Megha and Ms. Stuti, first year students of undergraduate programme in Occupational Therapy from Ahmedabad Institute of Medical Sciences attended their internship at Setu from October to December 2008
  Ms. Ridhdhi and Ms. Hemangi, first year students of undergraduate programme in Occupational Therapy from Ahmedabad Institute of Medical Sciences attended their internship at Setu in January and February 2009 and Ms. Monica and Ms. Karishma in March 2009
 

Ms. Kritika Pande, a first year student in Law from the Nirma University also completed her internship with us from May 26 to June 14, 2008. She focused on various government schemes and services available to children with disabilities and assisted 10 families from the centre to get their children’s disability certificates.
