We are working on a concept note of a special needs education facility with a difference to provide opportunities to those children who have the potential to access mainstream education but are unable to due to the severity of their needs.

Inhouse training programme for the teams at main centre and sub centre initiated from the month of December 2009. Topics range from disability development to interpersonal relationships and management.

Infant screening in Primary Health Centres in Vejalpur and Maktampura areas under the PCH programme, Ahmedabad initiated. In 45 days, 630 children screened for signs of developmental delays.

Quality of life study for children coming to the centres initiated. Validation and first round of pilot study data collection completed.

Setu presented the impact study report in the IV International Forum on Disability- Achieving Independence, Doha, Qatar (20.04.2009- 22.04.2009)
